Humans are always fascinated in the feeling of floating in the air. This is the reason why several devices are created to recreate it. Planes for example are produced not just to fly; but also to travel large distances in a very short time. Without it, individuals cannot go to such distances without consuming much time and energy. There are also some sports or games that were created to render that kind of euphoria. One of which is arachuting or skydiving. It is very breathtaking seeing the sky in your surroundings and having the experience of falling freely with just gravity pulling you down. Another similar activity like parachuting is paragliding, wherein one sits on a harness with fabric wing attached to it. Several disciplines that are associated also with it are BASE jumping and sky surfing. BASE jumping is basically skipping on a situated object like a building, cliff or a bridge. Sky surfing on the other hand is like skydiving with a board strap on the legs, much like snowboarding and performing aerobatics on freefall. There are also some recreational activities that one can do over the water; and one is parasailing. A boat will tow a person with parachute and then release the parachute while still on the boat. The one with the parachute will then be suspended in the tow while sailplaning through the air. Land based parasailing is also being practiced in other parts of the world, as a vehicle will also act like the boat.
